So I have a little bit of a wagon issue. I like them too much. I like trucks, and big sedans, but wagons are by far my favorite genre of car. They can be big, squishy family haulers... Or low, track bred..... Family haulers! A wagon can be so many things, but is always practical. And every wagon is fun in its own way! A Buick Roadmaster can be fun! Maybe in a different way than an 850R but still fun in its own way! So here are some of my favorite wagons right now. Put yours on too, just in case I forgot about any.

6. Subaru Legacy STI Wagon

This one I don.t know much about so whoever does know dish me some info on it. I’ve always loved them though

5. BMW M5 Wagon (E61)

Kinja'd!!!

4. Volvo 850 BTCC Car

It’s just so cool

Kinja'd!!!

3. Mercedes Benz E55 Wagon

I think this is a genuinely beautiful car, and also fast from what I’ve heard... I know this one has some different wheels but still!

Kinja'd!!!

2. Impreza wagon

Kinja'd!!!

1. Volvo V70 R

It’s pretty handsome... and AWD... and spaceball stick... and just awesome.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I know I missed a lot of great ones so you guys finish it for me. Good luck!

The CTS-V wagon, Magnum, and of course the 3rd gen Camry wagon.

Japan also had a wagon version of the A32 Maxima

BMW M550d because who doesn’t like 381 hp and 546 lb-ft of torque? And plus it has THREE turbos.

As a two-time e46 wagon owner, I have to say this is a worthy contender - partly because of the 3-series platform, which is just a little more nimble than most of the ones you picked (except impreza)... but what do I lust over? All the ones you picked...

Kinja'd!!!

So this one may have been transformed into an M3 or whatever... but mine is the same color. So, it’s got that going for it. Which is nice.

I might be buying a 960 next week actually! I’m super excited. It’ll be my MN winter car to keep my Miata nice and non rusty. It’ll have a inline 6 though:(

See I knew I was wrong not to put the CTS on here. I got bored of making the post though, and to be honest it never really appealed to me like some of the other crazy wagons out there! Like the V10 M5 for example or the fast merc

This is the Subaru Legacy 2.0GT Spec.B Tuned by STI. It’s like the USDM Legacy 2.5GT Spec.B (but with the 2.0 EJ205 instead of the 2.5 EJ255) with some extra STI goodies . All Spec.Bs came with the 6-speed, rather than the GTs 5-speed.

Kinja'd!!!

The even more limited Legacy S402 (only 402 made) uses a detuned USDM STI drivetrain (2.5 EJ257 and 6-speed). It also has +20mm front fenders and 6-pot Brembo front brakes (the standard STI only has 4-pot Brembo front brakes), and some other uprades .

Yup, I’m not sure it was available in stick in the US but its rwd and the sedans are fantastic with a stick. So 2JZ and stick conversion = Japanese E36 Wagon

They sound great! That’s the best thing they have going for them. Their performance isn’t quite what you would expect, the engine packaging is a nightmare, they are a bit complicated, and early 2000s Volkswagen reliability isn’t that great (trust me, I know).

The only way I would ever consider one is if it was one of the ~100 6-speed wagons, and the price was right.
